The Defence, Military & Avionics session at EMC & Compliance International 2025 promises to be an insightful and thought-provoking session, bringing together experts in the field to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in military and aviation EMC.
This session is chaired by Gavin Barber, an experienced EMC/HIRF engineer with over 20 years of expertise in EMC test method development for equipment-level and whole aircraft High-Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) testing. Gavin leads a team of HIRF engineers, providing consultancy and test services for both military and commercial aircraft platforms. His contributions to the field include the development of a mobile High Power Microwave (HPM) facility and innovative methods for assessing electromagnetic coupling to aircraft systems, including Direct Current Injection (DCI) techniques for whole aircraft evaluation.
